Level 5 : Hone those skills! Step into the world of competition…

This class will guide you through the essential skills needed for Rally and/or Obedience competition.  From sits and downs to fronts, finishes, turns, and short heeling segments, we'll break it down and teach you everything you need to know using positive reinforcement. This class will build not only your pup’s   confidence,  but your confidence in stepping into the world of competition.

We will delve into the  mechanics of teaching these skills, discuss the correct placement of rewards to enhance your dog's accuracy, and explore how props can aid your dog's understanding of positions.

We’ll cover the most popular marker cues, along with looking at clean training loops, resets, and timing of simple behavior cues. We’ll talk about the emotion attached to different marker cues and how you can use that excitement or calmness to teach specific behavior skills.

This class is suited to anyone interested in building a stronger working / training relationship with their dog, regardless of whether the team is training for fun or aiming to compete in dog sports.  The overall goal is to improve engagement and enthusiasm!
